Host Family- Lola!!

How exciting! I couldn't have been put with a better family. Her name is Lola, a widow, but has a boyfriend, Jose. They are so in love and very very sweet! She is a woman of many trades, like myself. She makes clothes for the movies, and embroiders them, lots of Swarovski crystals and beading. She is extremely talented, teaches classes as well as works freelance for people who want certain things made. She's shown me all of these beautiful items she has made, from tops of dresses, adding a little something new to shoes, lots and lots of accessories too. She is also an actress, very talented. Jose, is a news reporter focuses on wars. He is a very intelligent man who speaks so many different languages, as well is very knowledgeable about politics and news all over the world.
The first night we had dinner together with three of her friends. Martin, his wife, (an actress as well) and Martin jr. Both martins are movie producers, and Martin Senior worked with Quentin Taritinos father. (excuse my spelling of his last name) it was very interesting hard to follow the conversation at times, but we're very nice and spoke to me slowly in Spanish often. When worse came to worse, Jose translated. :) Lola speaks no English, so it is a bit of a challenge, but that's why I am here!! Up for a challenge!! After dinner we viewed one of the films that all three guests and Lola appeared in. They were all supporting roles. It was called El Monstruo, a film that was very artistically done and you could follow and feel the journey. It was filmed in Mallorca, very very gorgeous! I can't wait to see these other parts of the island myself!
I'm sure there will be many more stories to add, as well as pictures, but for now.. Just One.
